Designing my Mars Lander

I have done a lot of things to my mars lander, upgrading it as well. My Mars lander is looking and getting better. I've learned how to move and rotate pieces for my mars lander.

Hypothesis: The aim for my mars rover was to be maneuverable and flexible, I tried and succeeded in making my mars rover, it had stability, strength, speed and mobility that would traverse the landscapes of Mars with ease. It was a great design and a good model for a shelf.

From this we came up with a mission.
Our mission to Mars is to locate suitable locations for life to form and to collect data and photographs on Mars.

I have learned how to drive a Sphero and be able to maneuver it under chairs and tables.

I have learned how to code using code combat, it was helpful since we had had to do a lot of coding in the future but it was still fun, we didn't get to do much of the coding but what we did do was still good.

The last thing we did was learned about the 3D printing, we printed two of our classes designs but watching them being made was cool, it would be even better if we had more time with the 3D printer but it was still a fun experience

COORDINATES

Our second thing we learned in maths was coordinates, but it was really fun to learn because we got to play battle ships and play it by ourselves online. What was even better was that it was just a free period to play games. But the next period we had in maths we still did coordinates but on Hapara, it was still fun to do and it was really easy.

My Hero or Inspirational Person is:
Taika-Waititi

  1. What has this person done that is inspiring to others?
To make comedy and inspire others.
  1. What aspects of them do you or others admire?
How he is really funny and likes to make people laugh

TAIKA-WAITITI

He was nominated for an Academy Award for his 2004 short film Two Cars, One Night.

Taika David Waititi, also known as Taika Cohen, is a New Zealand film director, screenwriter, actor, and comedian. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his 2004 short film Two Cars, One Night.

His feature films Boy (2010) and Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) have each been the top-grossing New Zealand film, with the latter still holding that title as of 2017.

He became a great role model and comedian when he started making movies.

He is a very successful man when it comes to making movies and staring in them.

He wins a lot of academy actor awards.

He is a great role model.
He will always be an inspiration to a lot of people for years to come.

He is an awesome person when it comes being a good role model. In his childhood he made a plan that he would be a even better person in the future, he didn't just complete what he set out to do he did  even better by becoming a superstar.
When he was younger he didn’t have a great life, his dad was a alcoholic and drug addict so he was never there and it made it hard for him to be able to idealise someone. Taika Waititi  because of what he stands for and what he does for a living to not only entertain but teach others to do good things

Every English period, 9MG have a little start up piece of writing to get us into the right mindset to start our work. My favourite piece of writing was when we were asked to write a 100 word story about anything ,but, we had to put in a few words in to make a bit hard for us. i made one about Spongebob and how i was in the story as a massive, awesome, cool guy in the story and how my only weakness was ice cream. it was still my favourite story to write ,but, what was really funny is that every one laughed and couldn't stop but they all taught i had a really good seance of humour.

on the 9th of April all of year nine went on a field trip to Kumara for the day.

i learnt a lot about the history behind Kumara and how the town was made. Our group was starting with a skit on some legends about Kumara, my team did a story about a banshee and how she haunted the dreams of young children. We also went on a walk to the Londonderry walk, it was a huge rock that rolled down the hill to make it how it is now.

My favourite part about the field trip was when got got to do this gold rush activity outside, but the only bad thing about it was we had the muddy side of the field but overall it was an awesome trip, we should definitely do another trip somewhere else
